The Client Experience
Before taking a trip, you first research where to stay and what to do. Similarly, when we start advising you, we spend time getting to know you and discover your goals. What do you value? What do you hope to achieve?
On your road trip, once you know where you want to go, you make a plan for how to get there. Maybe you put your destination into your GPS and create a route. Similarly, we work with you to design a plan that helps you move in the direction you want to go.
But a route is just a line on a map; it’s not the destination yet. Once you have the route, you have to follow it to reach your destination. Once we’ve helped you create your plan, we’ll be your GPS, working with you to implement and maintain your plan, getting you out of the driveway and helping you stay on course.
Discovery
Getting to know you, we use in-person conversations and a couple of financial questionnaires to understand two things:
- What are you trying to accomplish with your money?
- What are your goals, aspirations, dreams?
Design
Based on what we discover from you, we design solutions that will enable you to take your goals from a dream to reality.
Implementation
We help you take action on the recommendations, including meeting with you at least annually. When necessary, we coordinate with your other advisors.
Maintenance
Because financial planning and your life are both dynamic, the maintenance phase includes the ongoing oversight of your implementation plan, meeting with you at least annually to stay on track.
